KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT COURSE FOR AFRIBANK NIGERIA

Afribank – http://www.afribank.com –  is one of the leading commercial banks of Nigeria. The Bank is aware of the fact that in the global knowledge economy, the development and leveraging of its intellectual capital is as important as financial capital. For this reason the Bank has commissioned a course in knowledge management (KM) for its staff.

The 20 day KM course has been developed and is presented by Prof. Ben Fouche and Dr Gretchen Smith of Knowledge Leadership Associates (Knowlead) – http://www.knowlead.co.za – under the auspices of the Business School (USB) – http://www.usb.ac.za – of the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa – http://www.sun.ac.za . Knowlead is a network organisation specialising in training and consulting in the broad field of information management and knowledge management. The USB is recognised, not only as one of the foremost business schools in South Africa, but is also highly rated internationally. In addition to the registration of the course with the South African Qualoifications Authority (SAQA), the USB will provide   quality control as well as facilities for the course weeks in South Africa and certification of the results. The first two weeks of the course will take place in Lagos and the last two weeks in Cape Town, South Africa.

This blog space is intended to provide a record of the progress of the course and the work of the participants. The first course week took place in Lagos in July and the second week will take place in Lagos during the week of  6- 11 August. Watch this space! – Ben
